Our terms
How decisions are made
Requests are reviewed and approved by Lavender Medical's regulatory and finance team, independently of our commercial and sales teams. We play no part in selecting individual beneficiaries, or in deciding programme content, faculty or venue. Decisions are final.
No Lavender Medical representative can approve a request, commit funding or promise an outcome, so please do not ask one about the status of a request.
Fellowship and scholarship grants
A fellowship or scholarship grant is paid to the organisation where the healthcare professionals are training. That organisation offers the award, sets the criteria and chooses the recipient; we have no part in any of that.
We cannot accept a request from a healthcare professional for their own fellowship. It must come from the organisation offering the award.
If your request is approved
We may fund all, part or none of the amount requested. Where we offer part, the agreement records the amount we will fund, and it is for your organisation to decide whether to go ahead on that basis.
No funding is released until a written grant agreement setting out the terms is signed by both your organisation and Lavender Medical. Payment is made against your organisation's invoice, only to a bank account held in the organisation's own registered name.
How the money may be used
- Only for the programme set out in the agreement. Any change of use needs our written agreement first.
- Not to promote Lavender Medical products or any off-label use, to buy capital equipment, or for general overheads.
- Your organisation alone chooses any individuals who benefit, against its own merit-based criteria, and alone decides the programme's content, faculty, speakers and venue.
- Within 60 days of the programme ending, your organisation sends us a short report on how the money was used, with no patient data in it.
- Any money not spent on the programme is returned within 30 days of the programme ending.
- We may end the agreement if the programme's purpose ceases to exist or the money is used for anything else.
Our standard terms
- Lavender Medical does not solicit grant or donation requests.
- Resources are finite. Not every request will be funded, and a request may be funded in part.
- Support is never given to induce or reward the purchase, recommendation, specification or use of Lavender Medical products, past or future.
- Grants are given, and must be used, in line with the ABHI Code of Ethical Business Practice, the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice and the Bribery Act 2010.
- Approved grants are published on this page at organisation level: the organisation, the purpose and the amount.
Your information
We use the details in a request only to assess it, make and record the decision, and administer any grant. Please do not send anything containing patient data. Our grants privacy notice explains what we keep and for how long.
