Reconstruction of the medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) treats recurrent dislocation of the patella by restoring the main soft-tissue restraint to lateral displacement of the patella.
The Xiros technique uses 5 mm Infinity-Lock tape to create a double-bundle reconstruction. It avoids drilling a tunnel through the patella and needs no autograft or allograft. Our team can talk you through the technique and supply the instruments for your case.
