About Extremity Medical
Extremity Medical was founded in 2008 by Matt Lyons, joined by Mike Lyons in 2010, and is based in Parsippany, New Jersey, USA, where its facility includes an in-house cadaver lab and space for training. It develops fusion, fixation and motion-preserving systems for the upper and lower extremities, many of them built on its patented post platform, in which a screw lags against a metallic bone bridge placed within the bone.
Its lower-extremity range covers ankle, hindfoot, midfoot and forefoot procedures; the upper-extremity range covers MCP and PIP arthrodesis and wrist procedures.
