About AMES Medical
AMES Medical was founded in 2018 in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain, and is part of the AMES industrial group, a specialist in powder metallurgy. It makes porous titanium implants by compacting metal powder and sintering it under controlled temperature, time and atmosphere; the resulting material is OsteoSinter®.
Finishing, assembly, cleaning and packaging take place in an ISO 7 cleanroom, and products are sterilised by gamma irradiation. The company has been certified to manufacture implantable products for human use since 2020, to ISO 13485 (TÜV SÜD). It also runs visiting-surgeon programmes and training workshops.
