Lavender Medical, 646 Blackhorse Road, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 1HD

Adult flatfoot (progressive collapsing foot deformity) is reconstructed with a combination of procedures chosen for each patient, including a medial calcaneal osteotomy, lengthening of the lateral column (Evans) and a plantarflexing osteotomy of the medial cuneiform (Cotton). Subtalar arthroereisis is used mainly in children and adolescents with flexible flatfoot.

  • OsteoSinter Evans and Cotton wedges: for lateral column lengthening or plantarflexion of the medial cuneiform in stage II adult-acquired flatfoot, supplied sterile with a single-use instrument kit.
  • PitStop: a PEEK subtalar arthroereisis implant placed through the sinus tarsi.
  • IOFiX TRIO: a calcaneal osteotomy plate whose surface acts as a cutting guide.
  • MIS equipment: for minimally invasive calcaneal osteotomy.

Also known as: Progressive collapsing foot deformity (PCFD), Adult acquired flatfoot, Evans osteotomy, Cotton osteotomy, Subtalar arthroereisis, Lateral column lengthening
