NeoSys® – I.B.S.™ Screws with Single-Use Instruments

NeoSys® is a sterile, single-use instrument kit for implanting I.B.S.™ compression screws (2.0 to 3.5 mm) and fully threaded (neutralisation) screws (2.5 to 3.5 mm) in the foot; it is also used for I.B.S.™ 2.2 and 2.7 mm snap-off screws. Each blister pack contains the instruments needed for the procedure. The I.B.S.™ screws are cannulated, self-drilling and self-tapping, in titanium alloy, and are supplied sterile. A reusable instrument set is also listed.

Features

NeoSys® kit: implant measurer, depth-gauge attachment, guides, driver shafts and handles, K-wires and countersink in one sterile blister
Recyclable polymer instruments with grade 1 stainless-steel connection tips, designed to resist torsional stress
Cannulated drivers with an open window for K-wire removal; the screw diameter is marked on each driver shaft
Drivers fit the handle or a power drill with an AO attachment
I.B.S.™ screws: Torx drive (T7 and T8), self-drilling and self-tapping, with a self-countersinking head
Compression (differential pitch) screws from 2.0 mm; fully threaded screws from 2.5 mm

Indications

Fixation of arthrodesis, osteotomies or fractures of long or short bones of the upper and lower limbs, and osteosynthesis requiring mono- or bicortical compression. The screw size should be adapted to the specific indication.

Contraindications

Current or past systemic, acute or chronic inflammation; active infection; sensitivity or allergy to the implant materials.

Sizes and ordering

Screws are titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V), supplied sterile. Codes are from CONMED's CE-market catalogue (2025). 2.0 mm screws in odd lengths (21 to 29 mm) are available in some countries only. NeoSys EVO and XPERT kits are made to order (minimum order 100).
