Charcot foot

Charcot neuroarthropathy causes progressive collapse of the midfoot and hindfoot, most often in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Reconstruction aims for a stable, plantigrade foot, often in poor-quality bone, with fixation that bridges beyond the zone of injury.
