Chronic lateral ankle instability is commonly treated with a Broström-type repair, which reattaches and tightens the lateral ligaments, often with suture anchors. The repair can be reinforced with tape.
- FIBERKNOT: small all-suture anchors (1.5 to 2.9 mm).
- MINI-VIM PK, knotted: a 3.0 mm PEEK anchor, double loaded with suture and tape.
- BioFiber Tape and BioFiber: high-strength tape and suture, including tape for bracing the ligaments.
Also known as: Broström repair, Ankle instability repair, ATFL repair, Ankle stabilisation
