SMART-FIX is a tibial cortical button for fixation of the graft in cruciate ligament reconstruction using the all-inside ACL technique. It supersedes the tibial base plate.
The button has two cutting edges that are used to hold and twist it, tensioning the graft further, and serrations on the underside that lock the button on the tibial cortex.
