BUTTONFIX-W One Fixation Button

The BUTTONFIX®-W kit comprises one oblong titanium fixation button preloaded with a USP size 2 fibre loop. It is used after trapezial resection to support and hold the thumb and index metacarpals in alignment. A 1.5 mm hole is made from the radial to the ulnar side using the 1.5 mm tapered trocar-tip suture passing wire with loop; the preloaded button is pulled from the radial side of the first metacarpal, and a WT-Fix fixation button provides final fixation on the ulnar side of the index metacarpal. The construct is knotted.
